Originally designed as a private residential scheme, the client subsequently instructed the practice to revisit the design to meet rigorous social housing standards. This necessitated an internal redesign whilst maintaining the extant planning approval in collaboration with Choice Housing Association. Despite these challenges, the scheme delivers a high quality residential development for 23 no. apartments on a prominent brownfield site facing two main urban arterial routes and incorporates both private and shared amenity for each apartment. Currently under construction, the constrained nature of the site has required close dialogue with the client and contractor in delivering the project on budget.
